Computer Research Session
Need help using genealogy resources such as Ancestry.com and Family Search? We'll have experienced researchers to assist you at our June meeting. Use Bud Werner Memorial Library public computers or bring your own and find those elusive family history details. Meet at 9:30am in the Conference Room at the library on June 27, 2013.
Everyone is welcome to this free event.
A special Genealogy Club event with author Maria Sutton.
Join us in welcoming guest speaker Maria Sutton, author of The Night Sky: A Journey from Dachau to Denver and Back. Ms. Sutton, a former Federal investigator, spent 43 years searching for her biological father who disappeared shortly after her birth in war-torn Germany. Without
knowing the spelling of his surname, nor the date and place of his birth, she was able to find him. Besides the nuts and bolts of searching through archives and documents, she will provide information on research, interviewing, and investigative techniques, and inspire us to continue our genealogical work, especially the importance of writing down our ancestors' stories.
