Hands-on Gardening 101 with the Master Gardeners

Thursday, May 19, 2016 - 6:30pm to 8:00pm
  • Library Hall

Gardening season is near! Bud Werner Memorial Library is teaming up the Routt County CSU Master Gardeners to offer two free nights of expert gardening advice (Monday, May 16 & Thursday, May 19)  to help you plan and maximize your summer garden. Learn about the best use of our short growing season, whether your garden space is small or large.

The Yampa Valley may be several weeks away from being able to plant anything in the ground, but the CSU Master Gardeners will share advice about what you need to do now to be ready when planting time arrives -- and a timeline to keep your garden on track all summer long.

Following up on the Master Gardeners' Monday May 16 presentations, return to the library on Thursday, May 19 for the Master Gardeners' Gardening 101 hands-on demonstrations!

The Master Gardeners return for a night of hands-on demonstrations. Get your hands in the dirt and talk one-on-one with the Yampa Valley's resident gardening experts. Demos will include seed starting, Square Foot Gardening, transplanting, soil sampling, salad bowl gardens and other container gardens, and more! Routt County CSU Extension's soil sample kits will be available for purchase on site as well.

This program is generously sponsored by Routt County's CSU Extension and the Routt County CSU Master Gardeners.

Free. No registration required.
