Managing Succession: Leaving a Lasting Legacy II

Place:
Library Hall

Succession - Retirement - Estate Planning

Have you formalized your succession, retirement, and estate plans? You spent your lifetime building your Legacy and a successful business. Now is the time to plan how to transfer that business to the next generation, plan your retirement, and formalize your estate plan.

A written plan should include rules and procedures in order to avoid tensions; a timeline for succession that details the owner’s reduced participation and the successor’s expanding roles and responsibilities; and a description of leadership and skills. This workshop is designed to provide needed resources and answer your questions.

Who Should Attend?
Everyone interested in learning more about transferring your farm, ranch or business to the next generation; planning for retirement; and formalizing your estate plans.

Speakers
The speakers will share their vast experiences and skills in helping people meet their goals. They will present information critical to your planning process and respond to your questions. You will also have an opportunity to meet individually with each of the speakers following the workshop.

  • Jeff Tranel, Colorado State University
  • Dr. Norm Dalsted, Colorado State University
  • Jenna H. Keller, Keller Law, LLC
  • Larry Henderson, Allied Wealth Advisors

To Register: Please contact Todd Hagenbuch at the Routt County CSU Extension office: 970-879-0825 or todd.hagenbuch@colostate.edu

Registration fee: $10 per person

The workshop is hosted by Colorado State University with funding from USDA Risk Management Agency, along with Routt County CSU Extension and the Bud Werner Memorial Library.
