The Yampa Valley community is invited to join the Bud Werner Memorial Library and The Nature Conservancy in creating a large, landscape-scale work of art on the snowy haymeadow at the Carpenter Ranch. The theme of this year's drawing is "Finding Peace in Nature."
The Bud Werner Library is giving away a free copy of the book, Hotdogger, to every kid aged 8 and up, on Sunday, February 26 at the Free Ski Day at Howelsen Hill. The author and illustrator of the Aldo Zelnick Graphic Novels, Kendra Spanjer and Karla Oceanak, will be on hand to autograph copies of this hilariously, entertaining comic series that takes place on our very own Howelsen Hill. To top it off, the city of Steamboat Springs is giving away free hot dogs!
Children, ages 2 to 5, with a parent or caregiver, are welcome to Little Crafters Storytime every Monday at 10:30 am in the Children’s Storytime Room. Listen to a story and stay for a simple craft based on that book. Free! No registration necessary.
As a courtesy to others and because of the craft activity, please no daycare groups at this storytime. Groups are welcome to come to the Tuesday or Wednesday storytimes.
