As spring finally peeks out and we head into summer, the last thing on your mind is school and books. Of course, here at the Library we want you to read more and make it your goal to read more books this year.
Here are a few tips on how you can add more books into your life:
- Make Reading a Ritual
Set aside time each day to read for about 15-20 minutes. Set your morning alarm clock a little early and crack open your book. Not only will you read about 20 to 30 books a year, you'll also get your mind working for the day. - Carry a Book With You
If you plan on going anywhere, make sure you pack a book. Car rides and doctor's visits can seem unbearable while waiting. Having a book with you is a fun way to pass the time.
- You Don't Have to "Read" a Book
to Read a Book
Most popular books now come in audio book form. Listen to books while you're driving, working on a craft, or out for a hike. You can even download audio books from Bud Werner Memorial Library's Overdrive without stepping foot in the Library.
Now that you have a goal to read more and made a plan to do it, check out the New Teen Books waiting for you.
