This book is a little different than the books I usually read. I had heard that it was really good from quite a few friends, but they tended to get a little more into a book, emotionally. Anyways, I was told it was amazing, so I gave it a try. I absolutely loved the book. Normally I don't go for books that seem like just a sappy love story, but the common saying, "Don't judge a book by its cover" (or in this case, description blurb thingy) turned out to be completely true. John Green did a great job, and although I've never been one to get emotional about books, this book made me curl up afterwards just to think about what I had just read. In other words, it was FANTASTIC.
The Fault in Our Stars is about a teenage girl with very bad, terminal cancer who discovers love and loss and the meaning a reson we are all on earth. My first impression of The Fault in Ours Stars was MOST DPERESSING BOOK EVER! But that was my first impression, not my last. As I got farther into the story I began to think. I thought about life, love, knowledge, expectations, beauty, and humor. This book really changed my perspective on those things and if you are at all human it will change yours too. And if you are human, you will cry like a baby at the end. I reccomend this mostly for girls becuase it does have a bit of mushy romance, but I think boys could enjoy it too. It is my favoritest book ever!
