I was hesitant to read The Call of the wild, it was a book required by my teacher. but after only the first chapter i have to admit I was loving this book.The main character, Buck, both wowed me and inspired me.
Buck is a large and very cunning dog, who turns out to be a incredible sled-dog. But buck is not a husky nor was he bore in the cold and harsh environment of the north. Buck was bore in the sun-kissed Santa Clara valley and had a simple relaxed life. That is until his is savagely ripped from his Warm home and forced into the ragging river that was the Alaskan Gold-rush. Forced than to adapt to life in a harness Buck much use his skill and cunning to survive the challenges his new life posses.
