This has been one of my favorite books since I was about 9, when I wanted something to read on our move to Colorado. The character of Anetka is personable, funny, and someone you can relate to. In this book, the author deals with things like crushes, when you're already dating (or in her case engaged to) someone else, having to take responsibility for things that aren't your fault, being with someone when their best friend dies (that was a hard one!), and learning to be a mom when you're only a teenager. Ms. Campbell Bartoletti did a very, very good job and I would recommend this book to anyone trying to find a good book.
