This book was about a girl who moves from Hollywood to a small town to live with her grandma. While she's there, she meets a girl and their younger brother and find they share a love of everything Egypt. They begin a game where they all are Egyptians and attend sacrificial ceremonies. Before long 3 more people have joined them and weird things start to happen. First of all, there was a murder and the parents aren't letting anybody outside, and worst yet, the oracle actually starts responding!
Stand Tall was an amazing book about a 12 year old boy named Sam, although nobody had called him that since 4th grade. People instead choose to call him Tree. Tree becomes his name for an obvious reason, he his 6ft 3in and STILL growing. With his parents just getting a divorce and his grandpa learning to walk again, Tree finds out that life has only one meaning. To feel belonging. With his parents fresh divorce, this can be a hard thing to do, only his grandpas war day advice can help him. When he become's friend with a girl, who's parents are also divorced, they learn to help each other to become stronger. This was an amazing story about what a lot of kids our age actually do go through and I rate it a must read.

This year the girl from district 12 was a 12 year old and her older sister stepped in for her only to find out that she owed that boy. Throughout the games they find love, hurt , and recovery.
