Snow Surveys
Hosted by the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture's Natural
Resources Conservation Service, the SNOTEL sites serve to collect information
on the extent and water content of our mountain snowpacks. Most of the
collection sites are in remote areas, but all provide snowpack data,
water supply, precipitation, and climatological data. Nearby sites include
Rabbit Ears Pass.
