This site has a great list of sites about kids' favorite authors and characters. Includes information on how to write to your favorite authors.
Kay Vandergrift's Author Page
This site provides an alphabetical listing of hundreds of children's authors and illustrators. Click on an author's name and find lots of information, from their birthday to a photograph. The site was put together by Kay Vandergrift, a well-known expert in the study of children's literature and a professor at Rutgers University in New Jersey.
