Yampa River Botanic Park Children's Garden - 1000 Pamela Lane
Children ages 3 to 7, with a parent or caregiver, are invited to join us for three very special storytimes in the Yampa River Botanic Park Children's Garden this summer. The Library's storyteller, Kirsty, will read fabulous garden-themed stories, followed by fun hands-on activities.
Two Storytimes Every Tuesday 9:30-10:00 am 10:30-11:00 am
Children ages 1 to 3 years old, with a parent or caregiver, are welcome to this half hour program filled with stories, songs and fingerplays. This free program repeats twice on Tuesdays, at 9:30 am & 10:30 am in the Library’s Storytime Room. No registration required.
Two Storytimes Every Wednesday 9:30-10:00 am 10:30-11:00 am
Children ages 3 to 5 years old, with a parent or caregiver, are welcome to this half-hour program that features the very best picture books to enhance your child's love of language and learning. This free program repeats twice on Wednesdays, at 9:30 am & 10:30 am in the Library’s Storytime Room. No registration required.
Children, ages 2 to 5, with a parent or caregiver, are welcome to Little Crafters Storytime every Friday at 10:30 am in the Children’s Storytime Room. Listen to a story and stay for a simple craft based on that book. Free! No registration necessary.
As a courtesy to others and because of the craft activity, please no daycare groups at this storytime. Groups are welcome to come to the Tuesday or Wednesday storytimes.
If you read 50 hours or more during the Summer Reading Program you will be awarded with the grand prize — a sleepover inside the Library! You must hand in your Reading Incentive Map with your marked 50 hours, and sign-up at the Kids' Desk by Monday, August 10.
The sleepover starts at 7 pm on Friday night, August 14, and pickup is 7:30 am Saturday morning. Parents are more than welcome and encouraged to attend! The sleepover prize is for Primary Readers only (kids entering 1st - 5th grades).
Any questions, please contact the Kids' Desk at 970-879-0240 x313.
