TEDxSteamboatLibrary Live

Tuesday, February 16, 2016 - 12:00am
  • Library Hall

Join the Bud Werner Memorial Library for a FREE livestream from the TED Conference while it happens, live, for a single day.

The 2016 TED Conference theme is "Dream," because dreams matter more than ever. Humanity has more capability, connection and possibility than ever in history. And yet too often we waste these powers.  We get bogged down in the mundane. Confused by the complexity. Or exhausted by the naysayers. This will be a conference dedicated to great feats of imagineering, invention, innovation … and the courageous dreamers who can bring us with them on their journey.

9:30 a.m.—11:15 a.m. ~ Session 2: Radical Repatterning
Noon—1:45 p.m. ~ Session 3: Imagination. Invention. Ingenuity.
3:15 p.m.—5:00 p.m. ~ Session 4: Lifehacks
6:00 p.m.—7:45 p.m. ~ Session 5: Deep Memory

What is TED?
TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages. TED is owned by a nonprofit, nonpartisan foundation. Their agenda is to make great ideas accessible and spark conversation.
