Preschool-aged kids, and their parent or caregivers, are invited to a special storytime on dealing with a child’s anger led by Counselor and Play Therapist, Sophie Berkley. Born and raised in Steamboat Springs, Sophie has a M.A. degree in Counseling and Counselor Education from CU Denver, is a Nationally Certified Counselor, and is a Licensed School Counselor. Sophie’s passion is providing education, consultation and coaching to parents, caregivers and teachers.
Sophie will read a story to the children about anger, talk to parents and caregivers about constructive skills and tips that they can do with their child in the home, and provide a craft for children that will help them recognize and work through their emotions.
