  • Library Hall

Along with the library, Grand Futures Prevention CoalitionPartners in Routt County and Boys & Girls Club of Northwest Colorado present an interactive evening for parents of middle and high school students focusing on your kids and sex.

Join Melinda Clark, the "Queen of Sex Talks," for an evening designed to help parents understand and respond to the sexual realities their teens are facing.

  • Learn about the top three health risks for sexually active teens
  • Know what teens wish their parents would say and do when it comes to the topic of sex.
  • Explore how to engage the subject of sex with children at different ages
  • Help children be prepared for sexual integrity in their relationships and protect from sexual predators.

Take away tools to help guide your conversations with your kids about sex and making responsible decisions.

About the speaker

About the Series: Parent Empowerment Routt County
Presented by Grand Futures Prevention CoalitionPartners in Routt County and Boys & Girls Club of Northwest Colorado, this series is is focused around getting parents of tweens and teens the information and support they need in their everyday lives to help raise children that are healthy, caring, and responsible. We bring in speakers from OUR community to better relate to our parents and what they deal with daily. The goal is to give parents confidence and make them more aware of how they can be the best parent for their children. Topics include: social networking safety; setting rules and consequences; teen sexual health; alcohol, tobacco and drug prevention; parental monitoring; and healthy teen development.
