LUNAFEST® Steamboat Springs 2013 is a film festival featuring award-winning short films by, for and about women

Hosted by the Bud Werner Memorial Library this nationally touring film festival benefits the Yampa Valley Breast Cancer Awareness Project & Bust of Steamboat, the local nonprofit organization that has been helping women fight breast cancer in the Yampa Valley since 2001

A display commemorating 11 years of inspired bust art for the Yampa Valley Breast Cancer Awareness Project and the Bust of Steamboat.

 

7:30 p.m. Showtime for the Lunafest Film Festival
This season’s program of nine diverse films  include stories of reflection, hope and humor from around the world.Your $10 donation at the door supports local efforts by Yampa Valley Breast Cancer Awareness Project to prevent and treat breast cancer  for women of Routt and Moffat counties, and the Breast Cancer Fund

About LUNAFEST
Established in 2000 by LUNA, the makers of the Whole Nutrition Bar for Women, LUNAFEST connects women, their stories and their causes through film. This traveling film festival spotlights the work of a diverse array of talented women filmmakers with intelligent, funny and thought-provoking themes. 100% of all net proceeds are donated to charity. Since its inception, LUNAFEST has grown from a single annual event to a coast-to-coast force with more than 150 North American screenings each season. To date, 92 filmmakers have been featured, nearly $1.2 million dollars has been raised and thousands of attendees have come away moved, entertained and inspired.
