About BalletBoyz
BalletBoyz is the brainchild of Artistic Directors and former Royal Ballet dancers Michael Nunn, OBE and  William Trevitt, OBE - the original BalletBoyz. Nunn and Trevitt have been hailed as pioneers for making dance accessible and reaching a wider audience through their celebrated stage and television work. They have come to prominence through their popular dance documentaries on UK networks like Channel 4 and BBC. In the US, they have appeared as guest judges on Fox's So You Think You Can Dance and hosted their own spinoff series A Chance to Dance on Ovation. Now in their second decade, Nunn and Trevitt have re-energized the BalletBoyz dynamic by selecting and training 10 young male dancers from all walks of life. Trevitt explains to Dancingtimes, "...we particularly wanted to have dancers from different backgrounds, not necessarily just with classical training ... ones that our eyes were drawn to..." Nunn interjects "We really didn't want a faceless contemporary dance company ... We wanted people to come and to know them as individuals ... personalities on stage and not just their bodies."
