Tuesday, March 24, 2015 - 6:30pm to 8:00pm
  • Library Hall

An evening with CSU Entomologist Dr. Whitney Cranshaw and his extraordinary insect displays

Learn how to provide (or eliminate) aspects of the environment that are required for optimal growth and development of insects in and around your yard, garden and home. From butterfly gardening to creating optimum habitat for bees, Dr. Cranshaw shares how to plant food for immature and adult stages of insects; how to meet their special needs for water, mud, plant resins and plant hairs; and how to provide shelter for nesting insects.

Dr. Cranshaw's extensive insect displays will be on display for the community to view before and after the talk, and his insightful insect books will be available for purchase on-site as well.
