Community Yoga Practice: Yoga Nidra

Wednesday, December 16, 2015 - 6:30pm to 7:30pm
  • Library Hall

Bring your own mat, blanket and a tennis ball.
Free.

This 45-minute Yoga Nidra session focuses on Shiva Rea's Drops of Nectar CD, a practice by candle light in honor of the impending Winter Solstice and the holiday season. It includes a tension release practice using a tennis ball and a yoga nidra meditation.

Yoga Nidra is an ancient and life-changing approach to complete relaxation. Unlike other sitting meditation techniques, you rest on your back. There you are guided into various techniques that allow you to reach the state of complete effortlessness and awaken your potential for greatness.

About BWML's Community Yoga Practice
All ages, abilities and experience levels are invited to build a personal home yoga practice while checking out the variety of free library resources available to help guide you. As a community of yogis, we focus on a different yoga instructor's DVD or CD during each session. Soak up the support of the local yoga community while absorbing the teaching of some of the world's most esteemed yogis projected on the big screen and/or the surround sound in Library Hall. Work at your own pace throughout each session.
