Community Yoga Practice: Summer Solstice Celebration
108 Sun Salutations: A special Community Yoga Practice in honor of the summer solstice.
Surya Namaskara (Sun Salutations) is an ancient yogic practice, handed down by the sages. Regular practice will restore, purify & revitalize all systems of the body.
This session will include 108 Sun Salutations led by yoga teacher Carrie Nelson..
Silent meditation, live music, mantra chanting and chakra awareness will be included throughout the morning. This is an intermediate level event, although anyone is welcome to observe, or lie down and take in the healing vibrations.
In the spirit of seva (service), Carrie is donating her time, expertise and organization for this community practice. A donation of $25 is suggested, which will be divided between the Challenge Fund for bringing technology to Steamboat's local schools and the Satyananda ashrams in India.
Bring your own mat.
