Updated May 2010 Requesting
Titles From Other Libraries You can place a hold on most titles held by the member libraries of the Marmot Library Network. To view all of the titles available to you, make sure Marmot Global is selected as the library when you are searching our catalog. This link will offer detailed instructions on placing holds from our catalog. If you cannot find the title you are seeking in our catalog, we are pleased to offer the option to place automatic interlibrary loan requests through two resources; the Colorado Virtual Library (CVL) Web site and First Search's WorldCat database[Search from Library] [Search from home]. We suggest you use the CVL first since ILL requests bypass the Library's ILL department and are sent to the nearest lending library the instant you submit a request. Detailed Instructions (PDF file) on how to use the Colorado Virtual Library. If you cannot find the item in CVL, the First Search WorldCat database [Search from Library] [Search from home] will search library collections from all over the world. To access this database from home, you will need the barcode number on the back of your library card. Detailed Instructions (PDF file) on how to use First Search's WorldCat. If you encounter any problems with this system, or cannot find your title, please do not hesitate to contact the Library's ILL department at 970-879-0240 ext. 311 or send an email to illbud@steamboatlibrary.org. Be sure to include your name and a phone number and any pertinent information (author, title, video, book, etc.).
